You will be met at the airport on the day of arrival at 3pm and transferred to your accommodation in Porto which will take around 50 minutes. You will have some time to relax before we meet again for introductions and an overview of the workshop before dinner. Our photography commences early with a sunrise shoot the following morning. We will then have 4 full days of photography.
Our departure transfer back to the airport is on the 5th morning in time for flights departing after 12 noon. Usually there is time on this day before we leave for a sunrise shoot if you wish.

We will be based at the charming 1940’s Espinho Vintage Guest House in Porto. All rooms are single occupancy, ensuite and include breakfast.

Over the course of this workshop we will be exploring the citites of Porto and Aveiro, taking in the well known must see sights but also venturing down the back streets to discover some hidden gems.
When possible (weather and conditions allowing) we’ll take the opportunity to include both dawn and dusk shoots each day to take advantage of the favourable light and to enable us to capture the mood and atmosphere of the area. Throughout, we will give you both practical and technical advice, to help you gain confidence and develop your photographic technique, as well as individual guidance and hands on demonstrations in the field. There will also be the opportunity to have your work critiqued as we look back over our images and review your progress.
The workshop has a relaxed format and is designed to be enjoyable as well as well as educational, so aside of improving your photography you can also enjoy the beautiful surroundings and most importantly have fun!
This 4 1/2 day workshop includes:

A mild level of fitness is essential for all clients. Most locations are easily accessible and close to the parking areas.
Non photographer partners, or friends/family sharing the same room, are most welcome and we’d be happy for them to join us for dinner each night. - DSLR with appropriate lenses. A bridge camera will be adequate if it has manual functions – please contact info@imageseen.co.uk if you are unsure if your camera is suitable.
- A tripod
- Filters – a Polarising Filter and a set of Neutral Density Graduated Filter/s will help you get the best result in-camera. ND filters are also required if you wish to do long exposures.
- A rain cover for your camera.
- A laptop or tablet to view and/or process your images in preparation to have your work critiqued.
