• On all our workshops, you will need your own camera, it doesn’t matter if it’s a basic point and shoot or an advanced DSLR, the fundamentals apply to them all.
• A tripod is an essential piece of kit for the landscape photographer and is very useful for compositional purposes as well as steadying the camera.

• Suitable clothing and footwear

Yes, we also offer post processing tuition using the latest digital editing software. Photoshop expert Andy Page has many years experience in this field and can help you bring out the best in your images.

Our workshops are kept to a maximum group size of 8, whilst some are only 6.  By doing this we make sure that we can spend plenty of individual time with everyone.

Nearly all workshops include an image review session with other group members. This is a great opportunity to receive feedback and also to view and discuss the photos that others have taken on the workshop.

We also have a Flickr group for each workshop location to which participants are invited to add their images and receive feedback.

Absolutely not. All rooms are single occupancy with a private bathroom.

Workshop start and finish times vary depending if it is a one day or a multiple day workshop. One day workshops usually start at 9am and finish at 5pm. Multiple day workshops follow the pattern below dependent on light and weather conditions. Sunrise shoots are optional.

Day 1

5:30pm – meet and greet introductions & workshop overview
7pm –  Dinner at the hotel or a local restaurant

Day 2

6am – sunrise shoot
9am  – breakfast at the hotel
10:30am  – morning shoot
1pm – lunch in the field
2pm – afternoon shoot
6pm – sunset shoot
7:30 pm -dinner at the hotel

Day 3

6am – sunrise shoot
9am  – breakfast at the hotel
10:30am  – morning shoot
1pm – lunch in the field
2pm – afternoon shoot
6pm – sunset shoot
7:30 pm -dinner at the hotel

Day 4

6am – sunrise shoot
9am  – breakfast at the hotel
10:30am  – morning shoot
1pm – lunch in the field
2pm – afternoon shoot
4pm – finish

One thing we have no control over is the weather but ‘bad’ weather can lead to great photos! Think moody dramatic skies, and moments of fantastic light! We will adapt our schedule to make the most of the conditions presented.

We always have critiques and/or indoor editing sessions and presentions prepared as a backup.
