Proposed Itinerary:
Day 1
Arrival at Vágar Faroe International Airport at 16:35 if taking the flight from Edinburgh. You will be met in arrivals (time tbc). Drive to our hotel in Klaksvík (90 minutes).
After check in, we will meet for introductions and an overview of our workshop itinerary before or after dinner.
Day 2
Explore the north-eastern islands – Kunoy, Bordoy & Vidoy. Evening hike up Klakkur Mountain.
Day 3
Take the ferry across to Kalsoy. Walk to Kallur Lighthouse. Visit Mikladalur and Kópakonan on the way back. Options for exploring locally in the evening.
Day 4
Transfer to Gjógv, taking in Leirvík harbour, Elduvík village & Funningur church. Drive the very scenic Funningsleið pass and walk the Gongutúrur/Hvithamar path if there’s time and the weather is suitable. Afternoon / evening exploring the beautiful village and surrounding cliffs of Gjógv
Day 5
Sunrise in Gjógv. Then across to Fossá Waterfall and Tjørnuvík village to photograph Risin og Kellingin. Drive to Vágar via Saksun. Sunset at Gásadalur & Múlafossur Waterfall.
Day 6
Sunrise at Trøllkonufingur. Morning boat trip to Drangarnir sea stack. Afternoon walk to Trælanípan & Bøsdalafossur. Sunset at Gásadalur & Múlafossur waterfall if we didn’t get one the previous night.
Day 7
Transfer to the airport for return flights. Time tbc..
The touring nature of this workshop means that we will be using a number of different accommodations. All rooms are single occupancy and ensuite.

The workshop is suitable for all abilities, whether you are a keen amateur, or a more experienced photographer. It is not suitable for the complete beginner.
Should your partner also be a photographer and wish to join you on this workshop, please contact me and I will advise you of the cost based on sharing a room as there may be a slight per person reduction. Non photographer partners, or friends/family sharing the same room, are also most welcome. As a non photographer, no day excursions are included as we need the space in the minibus for our photographers, so you may wish to hire a car to allow you to explore the area whilst you are here.
Our pick up will be from Vágar Faroe International Airport to which flights are available from Edinburgh.

A minimum of 5 bookings are required for the workshop to proceed. As such PLEASE DO NOT BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS until you are informed that this number has been reached.
This workshop includes:
- All tuition
- En-suite single occupancy accommodation
- Breakfast each day
- Return transfers from the airport
- Transportation by minibus over the course of the workshop.

- Insurance – please insure your photographic equipment. You are also are advised to take out personal insurance.
- Meals not mentioned
Good – some uneven and rugged terrain.
The longest walks are:
Kallur Lighthouse – an hour each way, 5km in total, 370m elevation gain.
Trælanípa – an hour each way, 7km long, 100m elevation gain.
The terrain can be a bit uneven and is quite steep around Drangarnir.

- DSLR or mirrorless camera with appropriate lenses (wide angle, standard telephoto eg: 24-70 & zoom lens eg: 70-200mm) A bridge camera will be adequate if it has manual functions.
- A tripod
- Filters – a Polarising Filter and a set of Neutral Density Graduated Filter/s will help you get the best result in-camera.
- A laptop or tablet to view and/or process your images if you wish to do so in preparation to have your work critiqued.
