We will meet at 6pm on the first evening in the bar at the Sunningdale Hotel, Bamburgh, for with an introductory talk and discussion before dinner, on each participants needs and aims – an essential aspect of ensuring that every participant gets as much as possible from the course. You will also at this stage be briefed on the programme for the next 3 days.
Our photography commences the next morning and runs through until 4:00pm on the final day. We will visit a number of diverse locations, all of which will offer you numerous challenges and provide you with ample opportunity to practice a number of techniques. There will also be the opportunity for a dawn (weather and conditions permitting) and dusk shoots.
We will have the chance to review your images in our image critique sessions, when you’ll be able to discuss them with your tutors, and fellow photographers, and receive constructive feedback as we look back on our photography.
The workshop has a relaxed format and is designed to be enjoyable as well as well as educational, so aside of improving your photography you can also enjoy the beautiful surroundings and most importantly have fun! There will also be time to relax and chat over dinner in the evenings.

We will have two – three vehicles to take us between locations each day. A volunteer driver will be required if numbers dictate, and fuel reimbursed, currently at the rate of 22p per mile.
We recommend that you have a reasonably good level of fitness to join this workshop. Some of the ground will be uneven, particularly on the beach, and there will be a degree of mostly flat walking to access some of the locations. The pebbles and rocks are also likely to be slippery. The pebble beach near Dunstanburgh is particularly so and great care is needed here.
